I used the following Scrap Girls products:

A New Leaf Collection Mini

ScrapSimple Tools-Actions: Paper Tears PSE 5001

Aged Photo Frames Embellishment Mini

Lifted Journaling Paper Super Biggie

This sample layout is from the class "The Art and Importance of Journaling"

Journaling:

After I lost my baby teeth, the two top front teeth grew in crooked. They were almost turned 90 degrees. In 8th grade, my dad decided that it was time for me to get braces. I was terrified! I begged him to not make me get them. I swore my crooked teeth didn’t bother me at all. I cried and pouted for months. But he wouldn’t change his mind. He kept telling me that someday I would be glad that I got them fixed. Looking back, I know that he was right. I am grateful that he didn’t let me take the easy road back then. He knew best. Even though I am sure I didn’t make it easy for him, he didn’t let me slide-on braces or on anything else. Now that I’m a parent, I really respect that.

So, thanks Dad!

This is wonderful! I love your use of the New Leaf Collection and the flower added. The journaling is priceless! A wonderful photo of you...I'm sure I have some just like it in my mother's photo box :)
