Anticipation

This layout is from a sketch I made based on an advert I saw in a shopping mall in Spain. It was a series of circles with numbers on each.

The flowers are all in my garden (inherited, not planted by us) and the photographs were taken last year. Having only moved the previous year it was delightful seeing each flower appear, and this year we wait in anticipation of each bloom.

Isabella, what gorgeous photos of those gorgeous flowers! Aren't you lucky to have such a wonderful garden! I might suggest that you pull the circles/flowers closer into the center of your layout so you don't have so much "trapped" blank space. Now you have the first one out of the way so the next 100 will be so much easier!

These are great photo's and I agree with Ann. Bring them a bit closer together. The only other thing that I would change which is my own personal preference, is a softer background paper. For someone new to this. This is awesome.

What beautiful flowers! Love the idea of putting them in a circle with one flower for each month. I would leave the flowers, but choose a softer less distracting background. For the title 'Anticipation' I would try to move it closer to the bottom right bigger picture. This is my personal opinion, bet there are other opinion coming :)

WOW Isabella! I love the flowers and your use of the iron gate. I do agree that the flowers need to be closer together a wee bit and change the background paper to a softer color :) You can always recolor that background paper with one of the colors from the flower or add an overlay using one of the flower colors on top of the background paper behind the Iron Fence :)

WOW! You can see all of the hard work you put into this! The OOB flowers look wonderful! You could simply soften the iron gate by using a blending mode- to get a sense of it, without the "hardness" so to speak. I too would move the title a little down- so it is not all by itself! What a fabulous start!

Yes the flowers are so beautiful. This is a GREAT layout :D

As others mentioned I would move the title down a little so its not alone and if possible I'd make some of the smaller flowers a little bit larger so there's not such a difference in size.

Overall this is fantastic and I personally love your choice in background paper.

Great Job Can't wait to see more of your work :D

I think you did a great job on this! How ingenious to document what came up each month! I may have to scraplift this. ;)

You really have an amazing green thumb! I wish I could grow that kind of beautiful stuff.

As for CC, I have to agree with everyone who said change the background paper. While it's a cool idea to have a lattice, the rusted look is too harsh and with the gray behind it it kind of reminds me of winter. Your flowers are so vibrant and alive and they should be the center of attention. A soft green maybe? You could even lower the opacity of the lattice and use a blending mode so it would work. I love the out-of-bounds look with the flowers! How cool.

I love the layout too!!

I cant say anything on top of what they all say. youve gotten great advice.

On the iron gate background. I like to duplicate and then play with blending modes so that the iron looks like itself, and doesnt take on the paper below it.

Great job!!

you should see my firsts.. your already way past me!
