Journalling Reads:
This simple act of planting flowers was both an Act of Faith and literal putting down roots. We had just moved into our house on Reeves Lane in Jefferson, Texas and while we had a hundred boxes to unpack, Zoey and I worked the ground so that we could plant flowers in our very own flower beds. This may be a simple thing to most people, but to a girl who had suffered severe allergies her whole life, this was indeed a very very Big Deal! This was the first Spring of my life that I was able to do this simple yet glorious thing. I have always considered myself a “Brown Thumb (I was a hospice for plants who wish to die in peace), but this was my Act of Faith that I was indeed turning over a new leaf in our new home. Every year I am Blessed with another abundant reward from this one Act of Faith and Putting Down Roots.May of 2006
