Reece Henderson

This was for Denise's Design Styles Class.

These are photos of my father-in-law Reece Henderson. He was born Sept. 11, 1912 and passed away March of 2005. We are currently sorting through the trunks and trunks and trunks of his life. He was the record keeper of the family, the historian.. I feel that ominous task has fallen to me.

The fairy was him in 1912. I didn't give him a crown because I just couldn't hide his cute little curl. I opted to have him hold his pocket-watch instead. Reece was a geo-physicist, thus the rocks in the LO. That is his one of his cameras. The document background paper represents all of the tons of records, papers and ephemera that we are sorting. Reece was a "man of tape". He taped everything, a photograph taped to a torn piece of cardboard is not just for effect here. Given a little more time, I could create this exact layout with things coming only from his history -- I even have his geological rock collection!

This is fabulous!!!! I love that the elements tie to something about his personality or life - I've never done a heritage page but you've inspired me!

Wow, that sounds like a lot of history to be left with and sort through. I am sure you will discover much about this man while going through these things tho.. From the sounds of it, you have created a LO that truly represents him and what he was all about. I love this composition and it's such a great photo!
