I love all of the photos! So cool to see through the years, very fun.

Have you thought about picking out a couple (say 3-5) of photos to be more "focal" than the others. You might choose to put a border around them (weathered frames, instamatic, or even just a stroke around it) to break up the pattern a little and help the eye move around the LO. Just a thought. I love what you've got going on already. The wings do a lot to soften the areas. The only other thing I can add is to consider adding some emphasis to your title. It kind of get lost amidst the bright colors. Maybe just change the font/size...or even the color. This is a very ambitious LO, and you're doing GREAT!

Love it, what a fun task! I would divide the page into 1/3s and have each decade across each section(still haphazard they way they are). Because of the busy background can you add a small frame or outline to each, perhaps white to visually separate the pics from the bg goings-on. I love your dates!

I think I would change the background to something softer. That is what you see when you first look at it, it is taking the emphasis away from the main theme. Also, I agree with the previous posters, do some framing of the pics. Like all the pics and the elements you have selected. Good luck.

I love the idea of the timeline. I agree that a softer background might make all the photos stand out a little more or conversely keep the bright and beautiful background and unify the photos as black and white or sepia. I like to keep most of the photo black and white and let maybe one or two be color to emphasize them. Or partially colored, like just the faces.

Your colors do not match your background colors. Also, with that many photos, you might consider using solid colors for backgrounds, lighter colors, and limit your embellishments. It's too busy.

Thanks for all the great suggestions! I've re-done it with a monochromatic background and a few photos framed. You can see the updated version in my gallery
