I was browsing the challenge messageboard looking for some inspiration, when I saw Charlene's challenge to use the new Refresh Collection freebie. New Refresh Collection? Well, I went to check that out and found an incredible summer collection I had heretofor completely missed! It even includes some Scrap Simple products, which is a great idea to help newbies learn how to use these. For myself, I had never before used a texture, so I was very excited to try that out. But meanwhile I thought, how fun would it be to take one of the textures and use it like a paper template! So I played around a bit and created this fun paper, and I just had to share!

Here's what I used:

SG Refresh2 TExture AWI Dots (as both template AND texture)

ASO SS Far East Torn

TCS SS Beautiful Distress Scuffed

First I used the magic wand tool to colour the dots in various shades of green and yellow. Then I applied the texture (same dots texture that I used for the template) to it. Then I added the two other paper templates and played with the lighting setting for them to create my fun paper. My daughter has just informed me that I need to use it on a LO of her because she loves it. That's worthy praise! :-) (And that's all the time I have for playing around this afternoon!)
