Saturday 7/25 Red, black and white challenge- Love my 30s

The journal reads:

I sat in the car the night

before my 30th birthday

and cried. I wasn’t married,

(not even a boyfriend)

I wasn’t in my dream

job and I still didn’t own a

home. But I turned 30 and

then 35 and I found out

how great my 30s are. I

am still single but very

happy. I own my home,

I have traveled to 42

states and 4 countries

I feel free to speak my

mind. I am sexy and

confident. I love my 30s!

Gorgeous!! I love the color scheme, so simple and classy. What a nice piece of journaling. It does do some good to look back and appreciate where you are.

For my 30th birthday I went skydiving heehee!

That is so cool that you did that. My friend just did that last week and said it was a blast. I am putting that on my list of things to do when I turn 40 along with get something pierced, a tattoo and learn to ride a motorcycle.:)

Great LO! The colouring is perfect for the challenge (and the photo) and the journaling is what makes it personal! I spent my 30th like you ... but add into the equation I was a single mum! I thought I was never going to get married, but figured that I was better off being single than being treated badly but some of the men I had known. However just a few days before my 34th birthday I got married ...

Good luck with your "What to Do When I Turn 40" list ... I can't wait to see the layout on that one. I can tick off each of those things, and the being past 40 thing as well!

Wonderful LO - great colours & journaling! Have fun turning 40 and enjoying your life. Life is just so wonderful at times!

Thanks for the comments and I am a single mom too. I'm 37 now and my daughter is almost 17. You can see her pics in my gallery if you like. I agree that it is better to be single and happy than in a miserable marriage. Congrats on getting married! I plan to be single well into my 40's and I am looking forward to it. :)
