I grew up and live in Washington DC. We have tons of free museums and there is always something to do here. However, I sometimes take the city for granted and assume that I will get around to seeing the sights that others travel miles to see. In May, I started a Digital Scrapbooking Meetup group. I had not done a single digital LO but I figured this would be a great way to practice my photography, scrap some pages,meet new people and see the city. Last month, my group went to the zoo and I got a chance to take some great shots of the animals. It was a lot of fun and a nice free staycation for me and my daughter.
