Yet another LO from our trip to Victoria, BC. It is such a beautiful city, and walking from Fisherman's Wharf to downtown the sidewalks are covered by these beautiful trees, which were all in bloom when we were there in early May. Coming from the cold north where we were still waiting for the last of our snow to melt, this was a very much appreciated change of scenery!

I used the Gaussian Blur on the background photo to blur the trees, then used a layer mask (a technique I just learned in Anna's class in July!) to take the blur off my husband so he shows up clearly.

I could not get over how beautiful the streets of Victoria were in May. The cherry blossoms covered the sidewalks like a delicate canopy with bursts of colour here and there as other blossoms showed through. No matter where we went the trip was as amazing as the destination.
