The Pickle

No I don't know about the pickle in the christmas tree but it sounds like a very intriguing story!! I like the way you have done the journalling in the half square. Cool effect.

We do the pickle thing, but I'm not sure exactly why or what the tradition is all about. I guess I should find out. LOL. Your LO is pretty cool Great Job with the out of box technique. I like the clean lines on your LO too. Great LO.

My girl friend a few years back told me that her family did the "Pickle Hunt" and I had never heard of that so she bought me a pickle ornament for Christmas that year. We have been doing it ever since! The kids have a blast with it. Tridition has it that the last decoration placed on the Christmas Tree was always a pickle. It was carefully hidden deep in the boughs of the tree. Legend has it that the observant child who found it on Christmas Day was blessed with a year of good fortune and a special gift.

How clever to slice the photo in the shape of a Christmas tree! I'm not familiar with the "pickle in the tree" game either, but it sounds like fun!
