My Baby Syvonne

Yesterday was my only daughter’s 38th birthday. She is expecting her first child any day now and I have been told that this birth will be the second most special day of my life. I remember the moment she arrived so vividly. I was overflowing with all of the emotions expressed on October’s Scrap Simple Club’s paper template, “Creative Expression_Words” by Amanda. I used several tissues while working on this page! I was inspired to make this LO because of Brandy Murry’s beautiful interpretation of Emily displayed on the Home page. I loved working with the doodles as I think they give a more personal and light touch to the design.

The journaling reads: “My gift to you on your 38th birthday as you too will soon experience the miracle of life . . .”

Before you were conceived I wanted you.

Before you were born I loved you.

Before you were even here an hour I would die for you.

This is the miracle of life. ~Maureen Hawkins

So pretty! All of your embellishments are so perfectly placed. I can't wait until your grand baby is here; My mom told me that a Grandma's love is overwhelming. Cherish these sweet days you have ahead of you!! Congrats, and lovely layout!!

Oh Joyce.. I tear up looking at it as well. I am glad you found inspiration from the quote on Emily's page. I thought it was a great one too. What a beautiful page and an unusual pretty name you chose for your daughter, is it french?

This is so heart warming. I have tears in my eyes. I'm sure she will love this and appreciate it in a whole new light once she holds her own baby in her arms.

I, too, have a beautiful 38 year old daughter. She is the light of my life--always has been. Yesterday I had the privilege of babysitting her two children--a 7 year old girl, and a 5 year old boy (FULL of life). You are in for a wonderful journey. Grandchildren are a special present. When someone told me I'd be crazy over my first grandchild, I told that that I knew I'd love them but I'd be fine about it. They were right. Just wait until you hold that precious baby. Good luck and take lots of pictures.

Actually it's a word that my sister found in the Old Testament. The spelling is "Sivan" meaning a season or time. We liked the sound but changed the spelling. Thirty-eight years later I certainly can not imagine her with any other name. She is definitely Syvonne!
