With all of the fires going on up north right now, the fire we suffered through 5 years ago was on my mind.

We evacuated and spent 3 days away while everything was put out, but our neighborhood and home was spared.

 

I wanted a dirty grungy post fire look, so I kept it dark and rough around the edges.

What a scarey time you must have had. I often see these mammoth fires on the tele but we are fortunate never to have experienced anything like. I'm so glad you were one of the lucky few! Your layout is great. I especially love the lifted effect on the photos and the way you have arranged the photos. Very nice rich tones and great balance.

Thanks for Sharing this Amy! I was in the one in Montana in Missoula in 99-2000 but fortunately wasn't anywhere near the fires and no I don't have any photos from that time frame.
