Remembrance Day
Some photos from the Remembrance Day Ceremony. I tried the ISO setting on my camera allowing me to take these without a flash. I'm glad they turned out as well as they did. For the poppy I took an image off line and extracted it, then erased a piece of the pin so it would look like it's attached through the paper. The maple leaf in the centre is from Melanie's Canada ribbon, extracted and blown up with the opacity reduced.
Supplies:
paper - MJO Canada
maple leaf - MJO Canada
frames - ABR AYO Zoom pages His and Hers recoloured to match the uniforms
fonts - Niew Cro Magnon; Primer Print
Journaling:
This year the cadets helped at one of the Rememrance Day ceremonies. Victoria and Matthew escorted a number of wreaths and Matthew laid several at the cenotaph. I am grateful for the opportunity they had to take part in this important day. It makes me proud to see them take part, and to know that they understand how important it is to remember.
