MY DAD

I WANTED TO SHOWCASE A PICTURE OF MY DAD FROM WHEN HE WAS A TEENAGER. I MADE THE BACKGROUND BY STAMPING LOTS OF DIFFERENT STAMPS AND THEN BURNING. BEVELING AND BLENDING THEM IN TO THE BACKGROUND. THE WORD ART IS FATHER'S QUOTES FROM DIGITAL SCRAPBOOK PLACE. WHEN I STARTED ON THE BACKGROUND I WAS JUST TRYING OUT BRUSHES AND THEN IT TURNED IN TO THIS BACKGROUND.

What a nice tribute to your dad! I love the quotes as a background, and the colors with that sepia photo look great.

Isn't it amazing what develops from just "playing around?" Your paper is wonderful, I'm going to have to give it a try. Priceless photo, love the stars along the edge of the frame. Terrific tribute layout!

What a great layout. Your paper is wonderful and the photo of your Dad looks great on the paper. If I didn't know better, I'd swear that was my Dad in your photo. It brought tears to my eyes they look so much alike. Thank you for sharing your work with us. Happy Holidays.

This was really a fun idea that turned out wonderful. I love all the "playing" you did to get this wonderful background. It made for something so unique and since its about your dad, the two are a perfect match. Very very nice.

I agree with Joy in isn't it wonderful what we can come up with by playing around. You have done a great job with the quotes blending them in like that and they are a great choice of quotes as well. You have done a lovely job, thanks for sharing it with us.
