I'm one of those people who likes to keep things neat and that includes the flowerbeds. Come fall when everything starts to die back, I usually cut, prune and pull out all the dead material to throw on the compost. However, I really like birds too and I know that some of the seed heads, like the Black-eyed Susan, are something that the finches enjoy. So I left all the messy flower stalks this year and guess what? It was worth it when I saw these beautiful Goldfinches having a little snack!

what a beautiful layout. I love the birds so much and love trying to get pictures of them. This is so pretty and a great picture of the finches. All of the delightful embellishments are perfect to go with the birds.
