These praying hands were painted by my mother, Carol Moore for my paternal grandmother, Georgia Moore in the mid- 1970’s. They have now been passed on to me and they are displayed in my curio cabinet which holds all of my earthly treasures and memorabilia. These hands remind me of just a few of the principles that I try to live by according to God’s holy Word. I don’t claim to always abide by these principles. I am far from perfect but I want to do my best to live by these principles to please my Lord and to strive to be a godly example for my children. I fail on so many levels, it is only through God’s grace that I succeed even a small measure.
1. “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”Luke 10:27
2. Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1Thessalonians 5: 16-18.
3. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.Matthew 6:33
4. Serve the Lord with gladness. Psalm 100:2
