The trick to this is cutting out the BW photo inside the frame using "Layer Via Cut" this adds the remaining portion of the picture in a separate layer. Blend the photo outside the frame into the background paper using your blending modes. For this layout I tinted the photo blue than duplicated it 4 times in Overlay mode. This made it stand out on the light paper.

Brandy, this is a beautiful L/O! I really love the journaling - is that your handwriting? If so, did you do it on paper and scan it, use a tablet, or something else?
