Ok, so there are a few things that I need help with for this layout!

First- Is the color Salmon more in the orange side or more in the pink side? I hope its pink...for the sake of the challenge! ;)

Second- What am I missing? I really like the simplicity of this layout, but I feel like I'm missing some sort of element.

Any suggestions on this one will be appreciated! :)

Thanks!

Looks pink to me! I think you've done a good job on your layout. Maybe you could add some drop shadows? But really, it's a nice layout!

Audrey - not that I am an expert by ANY means - it seems like the letters need to be bigger and the leaves smaller - something about the scale doesn't work for me. The salmon reads more orange than pink to me, but I don't think that matters for the challenge; the important thing is that it matches the tones in the pictures/embellishments. I think it might look better with a different frame (I'm just changing your whole layout - LOL), but hard to tell w/out the other changes.

That's my 2¢ - you get what you pay for HAHA. Great pictures - good looking sisters!

Oh my! You both look like twins! The salmon seems to be more of an orange to me than pink and I agree the leaves are out of scale. Make the photo bigger and the word art as well. Add some journaling maybe a tag or two and if you want to keep the leaves...maybe add a little ladybug or Cricket?

I really like the simplicity of this LO - you are so alike.

In terms of cc, have you tried pulling the wordart down to bottom left?

that would make a design triangle without you having to change any of the other elements - just a thought

Ditto on the smaller leaves. My 2c - a bit of a second, patterned paper might add a bit of interest too. I like the scalloped stitching, and the placement, so maybe you could cut your BG paper to the same scallop close to the stitching and add a striped paper or a mini print just peeking out from behind. a bit of brushwork behind the frame might anchor it a bit better, too. perhaps bump up the size of the journaling a bit.

I love the photos, and I do think the color paper you chose lends itself well. Great word art title! It's a keeper!

Wow, I thought at first they were both photos of you. :D You two certainly do look a lot alike. That title is just too cute. I love it. You all know my trick right? If a layout isn't feeling finished I put a little edgy border around it. :D I think you may have already gotten too much advice on this layout though. My next thought was to bring the top leaf down a little bit and tuck it under the edge of your frame. Cute layout! I was looking at this month's calendar-- and Theresa and Christy are doing a critique chat on the 22nd 2 pm ET. If you still think it needs something, I'd work on something else and save it for that. ;)

I think this is a really good LO. I like all the white space and the salmon looks more pink to me LOL. I'm not sure if you need to really add anything. I really like simplicity. I would suggest grouping things a little tighter--when I have a lot of white space I like the focus to be in one area of the page (but that's just my opinion :) ). Or maybe if you add a few more leaves down the right side, it could be a neat kinda photo corner and then just move the journaling to the other side of the photos.
