I have the same recipe. I've made it twice. The first time, I followed the directions and added the pineapple juice at the end, with the cornstarch. The sauce did not thicken up. It was really watery. The second time, I cooked all of the liquids, along with the cornstarch in a saucepan. I liked how that turned out much better.

Our family loves chinese food, and the crockpot version looks so good and easy. I love the wrinkled tab at the top of your book page. It makes the recipe look well used and loved.
