It’s nice to see things are starting to get back to normal;Tyler is calling Alex names, in a whisper! It all started Saturday when Tyler complained of a sore throat and developed the classic Croup cough. By Sunday morning he couldn't talk at all. When I got home from work at 11 pm Sunday night he was laying in bed with a fever, whimpering and gasping. I didn't even get my boots off, just grabbed some juice, frozen yogurts and Tyler and drove to Children's Hospital. There is an advantage to going in the middle of the night, the waiting room is almost empty! It didn't take long for Tyler to get admitted. The treatment was standard, the "mask" and steroids. Two treatments and 4 hours later with little change, I knew I was in for the long haul. They took an x-ray of Tyler's neck and discovered he has a bacterial infection in his trachea. I had 2 choices: admit him for treatment or bring him back every 12 hours until it clears up. It only took 5 more trips for antibiotics to get the all clear! It makes me so happy to see Tyler playing and smiling!
