Mother's Love

A little historical background: When I was six month's pregnant with my now almost 3-yr. old son, his father walked out. I started scrapping a journal and pics for my son to give him when he's older that explains a lot about where he came from, why he doesn't know his father, and how much he is loved by me, his Ahma and Ahmpa, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. I decided I wanted a very simple cover page for it, and ths is what I came up with.

 

The patterned paper is from the ScrapSimple Ironworks collection. Solid papers are from Painted Spring (recolored). The design on the side was made using the Festive Brushes.

What a lovely idea to scrap those memories for your son. It is very special.

Your cover page is sweet and simple, but classy too! love the colours.

Even though the circumstances for the journal are sad, it's great to see you making something beautiful out of a not so great situation. I think it's a really great idea & something your little guy will cherish... and find helpful on his journey becoming a man.

Wow, what courage to make a book like this. It'll be hard to explain why his father isn't there, but this book will make it easier. -Jen
