Fall into Enchantment

I love snow, especially when there's enough to turn trees into lace sculptures. Monday we finally got appreciable snowfall, and the grandkids and I went to the local park - with camera, of course. And at one spot there seemed to be a tunnel, pulling me right into the heart of the woods to one small golden beech tree.

Remembering Ro's layered sky picture a few days ago, I began to play. This is one result. The original was less saturated, more taupe, and it printed "flat" - much subtler, so I modified the color. This version may be a bit too hot. I'd appreciate your feedback.

This "hot" lo is pretty cool any way you look at it! It is very stylish and the eye is certainly drawn in. Beautiful!

This is just lovely! I feel like a tunnel is leading me to the same tree as you!! It looks like pieces of glass layered on top of one another...it's wonderful!

I LOVE this! It's so cool the way it literally draws you eye to the center and the color is perfect. I wouldn't change a thing! Very nice layout!

Gorgeous! I absolutely love this technique, have used it on one layout. But yours is so much more interesting. Back to the virtual drawing board!

Love the frame within a frame technique and its focus on that beech is really cool. Nice work -- and I like the colors here...

Very Impressive! You reference Ro's use of the technique as your inspiration. Can you let me know where I might find her layered sky. I probably looked right past it with my eye caught or distracted by something else. I swear, this is a site where visual overload could easily overwhelm. But I'll go down with a smile on my face. :dancingghost:
