Early Morning Surprise

I couldn't believe the breath-taking stillness that morning when I got up to this beautiful (altered) view. It was ... well, spellbinding (after I grabbed my cammera. LOL)

My inspiration for the LO came from Fall Into Enchantment by Jo Brenneman and her reference to a LO by Ro called Look Up.

I had fun playing with the effects and filters menus and getting around them a little more easily. I never did find out after the fact which effect I finally ended up using on the photo. I'm sure it is listed in properties or image info somewhere. I'm not sure I used the same techniques as Ro and Jo but I think I like the results. The thing I worked on the most was trying to soften the beveled edges of the photos. I know I will try this technique again and will want the edges to be more subtle.

Supplies used:

my photo and PSE7 and word art from TCS Artisan Blue.

Yes, Kay - as my DH would say, "you done good!" I love the photo, with just a little bit of color. And whatever filter(s) you used made the whole effect mysterious, rather ethereal. Wonderful!

Don't you just love early morning sunrises? The colors in your photo are so pretty, and playing with effects is so much fun. I like what you did to your layout. That layering really brings your focus in to the photo.
