The concert was AMAZING
When I heard that Brandon Heath was giving a FREE concert at Faith City, I knew I wanted to go, but figured I would sadly have to go by myself. I talked to Alex and she was a little interested (yipee). I called to double check that it was free and we didn’t need advanced tickets. They told me the doors opened at 6 and the concert started @ 7. I wasn’t sure what to expect seeing a concert in a 600 seat auditorium at a church! But figured it was worth a try... how bad could it be.
The night arrived and Alex still wanted to go. Heading out the door, we both got really excited and ran back in to get his first CD. Half-way there we decided to turn around and get a Sharpie, just in case we could get Brandon’s autograph on our CD. A line was forming outside when we arrived, and it wasn’t 6 yet. They were selling “What If We” as we walked in. We bought their last copy. Waiting for the concert to start was hard. Good thing I had my Touch, so we could listen to “Don’t Get Comfortable”.
The concert was AMAZING! The music was great and the atmosphere was glorius. The fact that I was singing and rocking out at a concert with my daughter was priceless! We tried to get Brandon’s autograph, but he never came back out. We tried asking, but that’s ok, we did get his pic and had a great time
The ride home, we sang along with the new CD (mostly track 4, London). We’re still talking about the concert, it’s our special thing. I’m SO glad we had the chance to do this together!
