Flowering gum

This is another native Australian flowering gum which is very pretty. The ants obviously like the nectar as quite a few can be seen in the heart of the flower.

I combined the 2 papers with the top layer at 50% opacity allowing the flowers and the writing to just show through. I also did two copies of the journal papers and removed most of the top one just leaving the leaves and cord and a few speckles over the photo. I also used a cropping shape to trim the straight edges form the photo. I clipped the hibiscus from another photo as the colours toned so well.

Gorgeous Christine! I love what you've done with the lowering opacity on the background and the addition of the feather.
