I fought the curb and the curb won.

While visiting our daughter in Prague, I turned a corner and tripped over this small cement thing meant to keep cars from driving into there*. ?? I had not seen it because there was a car to my left and I had on a different pair of very dark, very large sunglasses. Think huge, cover the face type. I went flying, literally. Both knees, bruised and scrapped. My left hand, bruised along with a blood blister. It was very painful but thankfully, I was able to get up and keep going. I was even able to find ice at a Starbucks! Later on, while my daughter had classes, we found our way back to the scene of the crime where I posed, crane style on top of the evil thing. Take that, evil thing!

For this is I used:

fjardine gigi crown, alphas, love journal tag, little flower 12 x 12 paper and scroll journaling.

I took a piece of a photo with cobblestones (that I took) and overlayed it, I think that it's 45%. Reminder to self, make better notes.

So, three weeks later, I'm wearing a knee brace, icing and get to go for an MRI if it still hurts next week. I may have torn a meniscus. I did accuse the doc of making that one up though and he laughed and said he was not that imaginative.

Val.

* Hello!! Where I live, we have those things too but they are like 4, count'em, FOUR feet high. There is no tripping over those bright red Target balls at the mall.

What a funny (albeit painful) story! :) I love how you went back to take a photo of the scene of the crime. Take that, evil thing! :D

I'm glad you scrapped this! I hope your bruises and scrapes fade away quickly. But I'm glad you had a wonderful visit with your daughter.

Now that is using your hear ... to go back to the scene of the "crime." Great memories to share with family and friends of your "trip."

Love that story. You just have to have a sense of humor about these things. Good for you for returning to the scene of the "crime" and getting that great photo.

What a terrific layout!. I love the title. The picture is just so cute. You did a great job of keeping this maybe not so pleasant memory alive. But after the fact its usually funny.

Wow, sounds like a nasty fall and it isn't always easy to find ice in Europe. I love that you went back and conquered the curb. Fun layout of your experience.

I ended up having an MRI and the results were "badly bruised knee bones" Bones bruised. Such relief, it will go away eventually!
