I'm so proud of these high school kids!

 

After a long drive, we arrived at a room lit only by candlelight. We talked a little bit about the purpose of light, zeroing in on light's ability to be a beacon that draws things to itself. We agreed that God himself is a beacon who draws us ever closer to Him so He can meet our needs! Then we got creative and took photos of the candles in our room, using a shutter speed of 30 and F5.6. Our goal was to always keep the flame in focus...making the main thing the main thing by making it the sharpest thing in the picture!

What a great exercise, both in photography and in spirit. Lessons learned on all levels. I love moments like this. Great layouts. Great photos.
