Mother's Day Bracket Album!

I love doing printable projects....I should go back to kindergarten. :) I am soo lucky to have had my wonderful DH's help too- thank goodness he can cut and trim evenly! So keep in mind, when I say "I", what I really mean is "We." Hehe.

For this Bracket Album I used Amanda Sok's 6x6 bracket 1 Album Templates.....they are AWESOME....and of course Syndee's magnificient Noteworthy Collection. && Amanda was very helpful...I needed a quick fix to replace chipboard and she suggested poster board. Way cheaper (which I love) and the thickness of each page was perfect.

I printed each layout on Cardstock and then adhered them to the poster board, which I had cut into 7x7 squares. I sandwiched them between two books over night, so I could make sure they were gonna be bound together forever. I trimmed out the brackets, hole punched them at the corner, used a jump ring and some pretty ribbons and Voila....my Mother's Day gifts.

Thanks for looking!

A perfect gift! And I agree, it looks so classy and professional. I love projects like this. I need to take more time to do them. These gifts will be treasured! Thank you for sharing with us.

I love these! Just a perfect Mother's Day gift. And a quick question (ok, 3.5) - regular poster board? and what kind of glue? cut with regular scissors all together or did you cut the cardstock part first?

Thanks girls, for all the love!

- Regular white poster board, 43 cent cheepo kind. Craft glue sticks....regular scissors....(and a handy hubby).

We cut out 7x7 squares from the poster board. After printing the layout, we trimmed down the paper just a bit so it would fit on the 7x7, but did not cut out the detail of the bracket until after we glued the two pages together. Then we cut them and squished them between two books overnight. :) Does that make sense?
