Well I'm catching up slowly. Here is my layout for Day 4 -- Heritage. These are photos of my Grandmother and Grandfathers Wedding Photo and 50th Wedding Anniversary (Golden Wedding). They were married in St. Patricks Cathedral, New York City on July 10, 1904. We celebrated their 50th Anniversary at Mayer's Restaurant in July of 1954. The whole family was there and I've included a photo that was taken of all of us.

Supplies Used:

Paper: BMU Nuptials Soft Blue

Embellishments: Flowers from BMU Nuptials

Tag: BMU Nuptials Tissue Tag

Frames: JHI Embellished Old Photo Frames

Software: PSE5

From the album:

Oh Carol, what a lovely way to showcase your lovely old photo, with the newer ones in B/W. This gives a great story! I'm also starting work on some old pictures, and I'm saving these for inspiration.

Lisa

(even though I know it's Carol, in my mind you're Lorac which gives you a very mysterious and exotic air.... :-) )

What a beautiful collection of photos. Having those kinds of pictures is itself reason to be grateful. You have created a lovely tribute to your grandparents. How wonderful to have the wedding photo and the 50th anniversary. The group photo adds another dimension.

PS LOL Lisa -- Lorac does sound like an exotic name.

Thanks guys for the nice comments on my layout. And also for the "mysterious and exotic sounding name". Never thought of it quite like that before. We were kids playing around with names and came up with writing our names backwards.
