Freedom ~ For Tina (westina)

I tend to scrap old style like I did when I was in high school ~ lots of pictures on the page. I really enjoyed scrapping this fun collection of photos for Tina! ~ I used a kit that I tend to go back to over and over, Syndee Nuckles' Cinnamon Suede. Full credit list in details!

Journaling:

What a beautiful day for Mick's annual ride. With temps unusually high for May in the 70's, it was shirtsleeve weather all the way to the top. As we crested and came round the bend at the summit, the mountain in all its splendor was out for show without a cloud in site. Thinking back to the eruption 28 years ago, it's amazing to see the landscape regenerating with new trees, wildflowers and animal life.

Hi Penny - this is amazing. Love the attention to detail that you put into it, from the text border around the edges which help add to the excitement, to the way the photos are arranged and then tied together so that the story flows from one to the next. Love the embellishments and the journaling techniques. If you did the wordart by hand, it's fabulous too! Thanks for capturing our memories of that day.

I love your choice in kits (one of my favs too!) and the positioning of the photos. Especially like the texting around the outer edge of the layout. Great job, Penny!!

WOW I LOVE this! Tina!!! I remember Mt. St. Helens Eruption as it was a month to my HS graduation and Ash everywhere! I've never seen the mountain and I thank you for sharing the photos!

I love it. Love how you managed to use so many photos on one layout without making it look overcrowded. Love Syndee's Cinnamon Suede collection, that background paper is so rich looking. I like the addition of the two butterflies and the bike. The journlaing was wonderful. Who could believe that Mt St Helen's errupted twenty years ago. Love that photo of the mountain with the snow covering it. Must have been a wonderful sight to see.
