My parents divorced when I was just a little girl of six years. my mom moved far away from us and after that my brothers and I lived with my dad. He worked every day and we spent most of our time outside of school with babysitters. But every weekend we went to see my grandma. It was my saving grace. When I felt lonely and missing my momma, she made sure that I didn’t drown in sadness. From simple things like new paperdolls, baking cookies or teaching me to iron using my grandpa's hankies I knew love. It is this love that carried me to my adulthood and becoming a mother myself.
I love you grandma.
