This is a layout I did on Sunday as a gift for the two girls in the layout. . .Both girls are leaving for college so I cropped the photo they gave me & made an 8x10 layout, printed & framed for going away presents for each. . .As they are not going to the same college and have been best friends forever I thought this might be like taking a little piece of home with them. . .

I used a paint spatter overlay on part of the photo but it seems to make it "cloudy" please let me know what you think. . .

I used FutoFusion software

Nicely done Debi. I love your combination of papers and would never have thought to use the notebook embelli for the date. How clever. Love the tape, too. I'm not sure about the paint splatter ... don't have a "before/after" to compare. Stuff like that just boils down to personal taste IMHO.

I love the layout you created for the girls. They are going to love it. I think the date on the notebook is very clever. You did a wonderful job on your placement and the color choices as well. As to the paint splatter, I'm with Kay on that, I'd like to see a before to compare it to. It does seem to make it look a tad bit cloudy on the layout, but it's a softer look if that is what you were going for. As Kay said, it's personal preference.
