Nicely done Debi. I love your combination of papers and would never have thought to use the notebook embelli for the date. How clever. Love the tape, too. I'm not sure about the paint splatter ... don't have a "before/after" to compare. Stuff like that just boils down to personal taste IMHO.

I love the layout you created for the girls. They are going to love it. I think the date on the notebook is very clever. You did a wonderful job on your placement and the color choices as well. As to the paint splatter, I'm with Kay on that, I'd like to see a before to compare it to. It does seem to make it look a tad bit cloudy on the layout, but it's a softer look if that is what you were going for. As Kay said, it's personal preference. .
