Here's Mud N Your Eye!

This layout is a funny story. My dd was out playing with her friends. In she walks with her friends....ALL of them covered in mud. Tracking it in...liquidy watery dirty mud...into my house...right AFTER I cleaned the floors. I immediately went into mommy mode and sent everyone home and told Elizabeth to get outside to be hosed down. She started crying because she realized what she had done. Then when I went to get the mop, a switch was flipped on in my head and I started laughing so hard and uncontrollably!!! IT WAS FUNNY! I ran to get my camera to take pictures of the situation. So, we are outside and I am talking to her about being grounded while she has the waterhose trying to get it off, I am taking snapshots and laughing one minute and telling her she is grounded the next. I realized when it happend that I should make light of it because truly....if I was able to do it again...I would probably go play in the mud with her and have a SPA DAY! ROTFL!!!! BWAHAAA! OHHHHH One more ironic item here....read her shirt...it says "Dear Santa, please don't talk to my teacher!" LOL!

How cute! I am like you I over react to these situations right after I clean but then regret not being more laid back. I am trying to change for my kids sakes!! The LO is great!!

I can relate. My kids trash the house every day right now tracking in dirt and mud from playing outside and in the pool. I am so sick of sweeping of cleaning up after that mess, but then, they would be inside and BORED.

Great layout Melissa! Figures she wouldn't track it in on the floor you were just getting ready to mop. :D So, did you make her re-mop the floor? ;)
