Emily Soccer

More catch up! This will be a two-page layout once I scan the formal team photo. I love fading photos into the background. For this one I really liked the effect of the "hard light" lighting mode, but I didn't like what it did to Emily's face. So I duplicated the photo and then on the top one I erased around Emily and lowered the opacity to 65%. I applied the "hard light" lighting mode to the other photo and softened the edges with one of Brandy's Well Worn brushes and the eraser tool, then reduced the opacity to 65% for exactly the look I wanted.

Supplies:

template - MRE Tiled Bricks

papers - BHA Abstract Expressionism; MJO Childhood Memories

butterfly & shadow - VRA Batik

brushes - BVA Well Worn; TCS Luxe Borders

alphas - TKA Pop A Word embellishment templates

font - Sapphire

Journaling:

Emily played soccer for the first time this year. She loved every minute of it - the running, kicking the ball, and just generally having fun with her team. The Bluebirds did well at the tournament even though they were much smaller than their opponents!

Go Bluebirds!

This is adorable! I love the wide open shot in the middle surrounded by action pics and the blending is a nice touch. The Pop-A-Word letters work perfectly above your journaling. Great job!

Fantastic action shots! I love the large photo with the smaller rounds surrounding it. I also like the date brushwork and the tiled alpha. Thanks for sharing!
