I took these photos with this layout in mind, which always makes a layout easier. :-) When I want to fade a photo into the background I've been finding it easier with two copies of the photo. There just seems to be more room for fine tuning when there are two to deal with. I can fade the edges more on one than the other, giving a more gradual fade, and with different lighting modes on each photo and a differnet amount of opacity on each I can really find the exact look I want.
