5 Techniques game-Prothonotary warbler

Another warbler, singing his love song. Materials are in the EXIF file. Techniques I used:

1. I applied a mask to the focal photo, to darken & blur the background a bit.

2. DH focuses in pretty close, so often there's little room to crop without dismemberment, but I tried to put the birds' eye &/or bill at one of the sweet spots.

3. The green background papers are Amanda Soc's Reawakening - climbing floral at 85% lighten mode over tile green. The P & W in the title are Angela Blanchard's

Prairieland alpha, with the pinkish-background color removed, with linear blend mode over a snippet of Julie White's musical yellow paper (and Mandy Steward's

epoxy style applied.)

4. The two alphas are ABL Prairieland and Amanda McGee's Jake & Emma.

5. Blending modes were applied to the brush frames on the small photos; the torn edge on the paper; the journaling highlighter; the "tsweet" alpha, with decreasing

opacity;

Thanks for the challenge. It took much more time and thought than I expected - partly to keep track of what I did. But it was great fun!

Jo, this is a beautiful layout! I can definitely see that you put a lot of time and thought into it, but it was worth it! I love to scrap my DH's pictures, too.

Wow, look at those photos! Love the bright yellow with all of the green! Oh how I wish my dh loved to take photos. Oh well, he's a keeper anyway...:rofl:...Love your beautiful layout! You did a fantastic job with the photo mask and creating your own bokeh in the bg. Nice putting the beak in the sweet spot too.
