Journaling

We have been very fortunate this year to be able to rent a house with a large block of land which has enabled us to grow our own vegetables and fruit and also have our very own organic free range chickens. We now have the pleasure of harvesting our own food and collecting fresh eggs daily. We obtained the chickens from the kinder our daughter Lillian attended. The kinder kids got to watch them hatch in an incubator and raised them, because of this the chooks are extremely tame and very friendly. Our son Joshua named one Gwen and Lillian named her chook Dora. Lillian has the daily chore of checking for eggs each morning and putting them into cartons, as well as replenishing the chickens food and water. As you can see by the photo its her favourite chore of all! October 2009

Kellie this is so cute! I love the photos of your dd with her adorable Dora, as well as the ones of the other chickens! :lol: Cute colors and swirls with the flowers tucked in here and there! Such a cute little house you've given those hens too! :lol:
