Wedding-1912

Weekly Winner Feb 6,2010 ScrappingLessons

I am indeed fortunate to have both the wedding photo and wedding announcement from my Grandparent's wedding on Christmas Day in 1912. As much as I treasure the original photo, having it documented in digital form will be viewed by many and preserved forward in digital scrapbooks for grandchildren yet unborn. Since I am of the "Older" generation in my family (I know--I don't look it!), and it is both a burden and enlightened role to share the stories and the personalities of those loved ones no longer with us with the fast-moving digital children of today. I doubt they can comprehend many of the times and the limitations of yesteryear, but I'll try. Life is evolving so fast, I don't want these unique personalities and their accomplishments to be lost forever.

Oh--Everything here was from Brandy Murry's "Chronicles Collection".

This is the layout sample for our Richmond "Digi Crop Club" meeting next week where we are featuring Heritage layouts.

You are fortunate, indeed! And have done a beautiful job with this LO; it is gorgeous -- love the way you give the photo & announcement center stage with your simple but elegant embellishments.

I think this is absolutely beautiful and your Richmond group will love it. I also think you are right - the best way to preserve and to share these treasures is to make them digital and then scrap them in such a lovely way (like this) that everyone will want to keep them forever.

Beautiful LO! Love how you "tied" the photo onto the page. I also really like the say you worked "Delaware" onto the page. Very attractive couple and how lucky you are to have the photos.
