I took this photo from the front of the house after thinking how blessed I have always felt to live here and to see this view almost every evening. Usually I watch from from the kitchen window, but on this evening had run out to the mailbox and thought what a gift I felt it is to live here. It matched the January Jumpstart challenge theme and I decided to run for the camera!

Ed and I grew up in large families living in small houses. After we married, Ed’s job moved us to our small town. We brought our children, Terry, 3 and Tricia, 1 along while we house-hunted. When we saw this “big” ranch home on a cul de sac with bikes and baby carriages sitting on porches, we knew that we had found our new home. Kevin joined our family two years later, and after 31 years we are still happy here in our home on Brown Street.
