Saturday 1/16/10 Challenge

My dear friend is adopting her daughter through the foster care system. She's had custody of her little girl for all of her life since she was 6 weeks old with the exception of about 6 months during the reunification process. It has been a series of ups and downs, joy and heartbreak. Her adoption will be final on February 9th this year. This is truly an answer to prayer! I took these photos of all her kids last summer in anticipation of this day. I've been thinking about this layout ever since!

Sorry about the blurred out photos - they aren't my kids to share. :)

I was inspired by this layout from Armi - Dreamer. It didn't really turn out like I originally thought. I must bow to Armi's greatness. She makes it look so easy! :D

Supplies all from www.scrapgirls.com listed in the EXIF properties.

Great layout, I love the black bg and the siblings word art with the fun swirls and splotches. Your flower cluster is so pretty too.

I like this. The black and white is elegant but the little bits of color keep it from being too formal. I like the L shape of the photos & elements also.

Great LO! No worries about the blurred photos--I can still enjoy the layout. I really like the "siblings" border going down the side, especially how it's mostly white but a few of the words are in color and its grunginess matches the spray paint spatters in the background.

Shari, just saw this today. Love love the "L" corner formation and the multi-hued splatter. The splash of color on the words siblings also adds a nice punch! And thanks for the compliments:)
