Redtail Hawk

This may be a little morbid, but I've never seen anything like it- these snow white feathers all over the back yard. I think it must have been an escaped domesticated dove- I don't know of any all-white birds in these parts. When my husband saw the hawk with the bird, we knew it wasn't a neighborhood cat. We don't usually see nature so close up in town. The bird moved on before I could try to photograph it. I didn't want to disturb it anyway. This is part of the circle of life.

This LO is AMAZING!! Looking at the smaller version, it looks like the hawk is soaring over snow covered mountains. But then on closer examination, I realized what it really was. You did a beautiful job with this!

It's cool you were able to see and journal this part of the "circle". There is a Coopers Hawk that comes to our backyard feeders. I always start out rooting for the little birds to hide, but then I feel bad for the hawk when he doesn't get anything to eat! :P

Well, it is different, but you've done a great job with the layout. That is a very good picture of the red tail, too. It is oddly funny to see the hawks perched over the bird feeders, but as you say, very natural. I like the colors and the journaling.
