I like this photo-so cute! I can't add anything that would help improve the taking of the photo. In post processing, I might change the background to black and white and leave the two pals in colour to lose some of the distraction of the room behind. Just a thought.

Sweet photo and I love the compostion. That look on your dogs face is priceless. The only citique I have is it would have been even better if you could have gotten her glasses up farther, so you could see her eyes. The eyes really are the window of the soul and it would make her shine.

Great photo. Actually I like the look that the glasses on the nose give.

love the looks on both dgd and dog face... and you have some blur in the backround so i dont find the backround distracting. i see what rosemary means, as the glasses cut right into the eye...but the "sloppy" look of the glasses also works with the looks on the faces...

Precious photo - I love the eyes on both your dgd and your dog. I thought the same thing as Rosemary at first about the glasses being so far down on her eyes, wishing I could see all of her eyes. But after looking back a second time, I think the offset of her glasses really adds to the meaning of the photograph, which is all about the eyes! Great blurred background. And no grain whatsoever, that I can see, even with 1600 ISO. Can you tell me if you were shooting on AV Priority?

Sarah - yes I was shooting AV at the time, I must have had my ISO on auto, as I would not intentionally choose that high. I try to set my ISO, but sometimes I forget...

And yes, if her glasses were pushed up... she has beautiful deep blue eyes, but her glasses are always falling down on her nose...

priceless photo :) Just love the look you captured.
Maybe if you had a greater dof you wouldn't have had to erease your DH hand as you have left a blurred area on you dogs neck (but then I didn't see it with the hand there so can't tell properly)
I kind of like the glasses down but I agree with Rosemary's comment. She has the most beautiful eyes it would have been nice to capture them :)

This is such a cool shot. I love the surprise look on your DGD and the look on the dogs face is "oh not again". :disappearing-smilie:
