A Letter to My Younger Self
Another simple one. But I'm okay with that because I want to be able to get caught up, and I want the journaling/letter to be a main focal point again. So it's toned down, but still has enough going on for me. And it was a lot of fun to go and dig up some old photos too!
Journaling: "I know and YOU know that you’re NOT going to want to LISTEN to what I have to say. Because, LET’S FACE IT, you know everything and any advice from others is just going to go IN one ear and OUT the other. But, for the sake of ARGUMENT, let’s assume that you DO actually listen to what I’m about to TELL you. If you do, you will be much HAPPIER in your coming years.
I PROMISE. And you can TRUST me because, hey, it’s your FUTURE SELF who’s telling you. So here is my ADVICE:
SLEEP more. You’re going to miss it when it’s GONE.
STOP WORRYING so much about what others think of you and just LIVE your LIFE. Besides, Dr. Seuss was right -- those who MIND don’t MATTER; those who MATTER don’t MIND. Be FRIENDS with who you want to be FRIENDS with. STOP making up RULES for yourself about why you can’t hang out with older or younger kids because you THINK that’s how it should be. There are no rules, it’s just LIFE. And stay HEALTHY while you still are. Make good CHOICES. Tell your parents you LOVE them more often."
