One Layout - two Challenges

This layout satisfies two challenges - one that required I use tags in a way I don't usually use them and the other about music in my life. Since I usually don't use tags, any use I make of them is unusual. With one exception all products used are from ScrapGirls designers. Tags with artist's names are from Amanda McGee's Doodlelicious kit. Tags with music types are from Valerie Randall's Boo kit. Both sets of tags had some recolored to create a rainbow of colors (and just learning how to use an editing layer.) The pearl centers to both wheels are from Erica Hite's Love Always kit. And, finally (just purchased today), the musical "score" is from Lori Cook's Musical Brush Set. I had fun with this.

From the album:

Francine - this is great! The first thing that caught my attention was the colours you've used. I'm impressed with your shadows as well, it took me ages to figure those out. My taste in music is very similar to yours - I actually saw the Manaheim Steamrollers in Phoenix at Christmas!!

You've done really well with this, especially as you've used no photos - I have been unable to do this type of LO as yet! Good on you. Keep up the excellent work and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your LOs.

I love this layout! It's dramatic and exciting! (And now I have some new music groups to try out--I like Enya, so I think I might like some of your other favorites) Thanks for sharing!

I just love your colorful layout - the way you used all the tabs to express your love of color is awesome - very unique and different from any layout I've seen on here - you did a great job! You sure don't need any critique on this one - you did it! Very nice work.

Thanks so much Catinkeri for your kind comments. I don't usually omit pictures, but this just seemed to work for me this time. I hope to post more - I've got a challenge or two every week that I'd like to complete but working full time gives me little time for much else.

Very clever layout Francine. I love the rainbow colors and how the different sets of tags have different textures. Nice job.

I'm glad to see that others appreciated Mannheim Steamroller. I've met Chip Davis a couple of times and I guy I went to high school with played with them for a few years. I own most of their CDs.
