7am this morning the sun coming up thru the "horizon" you can see a small orange dot and blue skies coming thru the trees. We are snowed in having a hard time even opening the doors to get this!
I used my Nifty Fifty
set on A-Dep
ISO 800
no flash

Brrrrrr! Very effective. I love the color of the sky and the small bit of the sun peaking through. The snow on the branches is very pretty.

Great photo. I love the close up of the snow covered branches, and the tiny little spot where the sun is showing through. You really did a great job with this one.

LOL, we were suppose to get it, but it by passed us. Guess you got it all. This is a nice one. I can see the peek of blue amongst the white branches. Very striking shot. I still have to look into that niffy fifty. I have a 85mm 1/8, but I'm thinking I need that fifty.

Gorgeous, Caren! Love the snow on the branches, and it looks as if you've carved out a tiny space just for your sun. I'm so glad to see an example of A-Dep. You've done a great job with this. Enjoy your snow! Maybe sometime we can compare pictures from the day. We've gotten over 25"!

Sorry Team 1 for not being able to look in on the work for the last little while.
This looks like a difficult subject with the white snow and "black" branches-along with a small amount of colour in the sky and sun; you did a great job though! Very pretty!

love snowy photos.... snow is hard to take photos of and get it white not a bit grey so next time you can try to over expose for the snow and see if that whitens the snow.... if you use bracketing like ME had mentioned on the mb once you can get several shots and maybe with some of them bracketed over exposed the white maybe whiter

Caren - very well done. Snow is such a difficult thing to photograph ... all so very ... white!! The hint of of the sunrise is perfect. That's a lot of snow - maybe you'll get lots more wonderful photos during this season! Well done!
