Work hard, play harder!

My youngest son, works in oilfields of East Texas and Western Louisiana. His two fun passions are skateboarding and playing pool. This lo is for his skateboarding accomplishments. Take note of the ankle shot: one is much bigger than the other, there's hope he'll spend more time playing pool and save his body :)

You have some great action pictures here and that is one really thick ankle (almost as bad as mine).

I like that background paper and the way you've angled and slightly overlain the photos and added shadows. The little notes on the 2 pictures is cute, too.

Congratulations on your first layout!!

You did a great job with this Christy! Oh, that ankle can't feel good. (speaking from experience here) Those are some great shots, and I like how you did the title. Looks wonderful!

Good for you, Christy! It's quite an accomplishment to finish your first layout. Fun photos! I think the colors you've used are perfect for the subject.

Great photos! Those oil fields loom large in my history...grandfather traveled through the old Humble Camps early last century...anybody who knows what I'm talking about has the same history. I so enjoyed your layout, brought back memories and gave me a glimpse of the reality of today.

Wow Christy! Your LO turned out great! I like that you angled the photos and changed there position. The drop shadows added more interest to your wonderful photos and I like that you moved the hoody one to the centre with the action around it. Your title is wonderful and all looks great on that background. But, ouch, that poor ankle, I certainly hope all is well now. :-)

Cool pictures, I like the beveling on your title! My DS (6 years) old has decided he wants to snowboard after watching Shaun White in the half pipe, so I know what you mean !

Thanks! I am supposed to be getting some new pictures of landlocked oilfield country and will make more layouts with them. It is something else to see the equipment and have memories sparked! Have you done any Humble Camp layouts?

My dad and big brother later in their lives worked in offshore fields in the North Sea and Atlantic. My spring cleaning includes going through boxes of old pictures and scanning them. I can't wait to do some collections of the offshore stuff too!

It's not a mom sport that's for sure! My son takes me to a video website and shows me the famous crashes!?!
