The churches in my diocese pass out devotional booklets for Lent. I really like the format - a story or bit of history, a bible passage, then a mini-meditation. This is from the reading for today. The scripture and history are about Passover. But the meditation is a really different take on the Eucharist, that we are also offering our bodies and lives, but if we are the body of Christ, it makes sense. I think this is going to be one scary Lent, if I keep on track.

Aggie, don't be scared. You are not alone on your journey. What joy there is in the end. And what joy from such a beautiful journal of your Lenten travels.

Aggie - this is beautiful. Remember that angels attended Jesus in his 40 days in the wilderness. They will surely attend you as well!

Beautiful Aggie, I love your words and your heartfelt sharing underneath your layout, which is beautiful. Jesus is with you every step of the way. And Sandi's right, the end is so worth the joy you feel.

This is lovely Aggie! And remember the story of Jesus walking on the water! Peter was fine and could walk on the water until he looked at the wind (and even then as soon as he cried out for help Jesus grabbed him). Just remember where your focus needs to be!

Very nice LO Aggie! I love the tattered paper-brings to mind the ancient paper that the books of the Bible were first written on. Also at the same time, the entire LO is soft with the monochromatic color scheme & blended photo. TFS!

Good luck on your journey!

Aggie, I never thought of receiving the host in that way before. But it makes so much sense.

Lovely first page.
