Feb Week 3/4 Painting, Light & Shadow

Snapped this one tonight while driving home from work. There is no chance to pull over during rush hour to compose a better shot, but since I know the route fairly well, I know in advance where the best views are and so roll down my window, prop the camera and get ready to press the shutter. It's always fun to see how they turn out. One of these days, both barns will be in the photo along with the mountain.

Aperture f/10

Shutter 1/200s

ISO 200

Wow, Tina, you have a spectacular drive. You have certainly done a fine job on a drive by shot! The composition is nicely balanced and I like your choice to fill 2/3 of the frame with that incredible sky. Have you tried continuous shooting to get multiple images as you pass?

Don't you just love trying to get shots while moving?! lol I was doing that last week. This is a gorgeous shot. I love the way the clouds are feathering across the sky, like brush strokes.

What a beautiful area! Love the contrast between the mountain and the barn, the snow and the grass, the lit sky and the dark. Compositionally, I think it came out fine.

I can't believe you took this marvelous photo from a moving car in rush hour! What planning this must have taken. However, I'm very glad you went to all this trouble - the photograph is stunning. So many interesting things in the sky along with the majestic mountain. I've forgotten where you live...what mountain is it? What a wonderful commute you have!
