Parable of the Prodigal Son

This is an illustration of the parable of the Prodigal Son. It is a favorite of mine. I have chosen the moment of reconciliation. The older son is included, frowning in the background. I have always had a soft spot for him, perhaps I identify with him.

Supplies:

AWI_Gaia_12x12_Green_Circles, brown mix, HeroArts_2ps_Papers_Lilac_texture, KVE_Violetta_Paper_Torn, PWR_Thankful_Paper_Brown_Special, TCS_BeautifulLife_Paper_EcruBuff, Flax

JDE_WNature_Camping_Special2, Scrapbook Flair beach_element_palmtree, TYO_MosaicRetreat_Emb_Spl2

I used VRA_12Days2009_Angel3_Welcome as a pattern for the Father's open arms.

Great job of illustrate this parable. I never understood how the father favored the prodigal son, and I guess I never will. Karen

Beautiful! How did you do all the figures? Love that you chose the moment of reconciliation (and the elder brother with his arms akimbo in the background)

Wonderful layout and I love the parable. I love the illistration work - I'm not sure how you do it but I do love it. I get such a kick out of the cat, resting at the tree trunk. :-)
